Labadee is a fenced compound operated by the cruise line. A lot of it is beach
area and beach activities, which I did not photograph that much. Debbie and I
did the zip line. It barely qualifies as a stop in a foreign country. The only
contact with local culture is the curated merchants the company lets in to the
“artisan market.” The art is almost entirely for the tourists, but the vendors
calling out to come and look at their things and make deals is real.
